Privacy policy

Last updated 26 September 2026

This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: very little, nothing that tracks you, and you can ask me to delete anything I hold about you.

Who is responsible#

Suwas Ghale, a full-stack engineer in Kathmandu, Nepal, runs this website and is responsible for the data described here. You can reach me at hello@suwasghale.com.

What is collected#

When you send the enquiry form#

Your name, your email address, your company if you give one, the project details you pick (type, budget, timeline) and your message. I use them only to reply to you and to discuss your project. They are stored in the site's database and sent to my inbox. Your IP address is not stored with them.

I keep an enquiry for up to 24 months after our last exchange and then delete it, unless it becomes a project, in which case it is kept for as long as our working relationship requires. The legal basis is your request: you are asking me to reply (GDPR, Article 6(1)(b)).

When you write to me directly#

Email, WhatsApp and the other channels linked on this site are run by their providers, under their own privacy policies. I use what you send only to reply.

When you visit#

The web server keeps technical logs (IP address, browser, the page requested, the time) to keep the site secure and working. They are kept briefly and are not used to follow you around.

If something on the site breaks, an error report may be sent to Sentry, an error-monitoring service, so that I can fix it. A report describes the error and the page it happened on, and can include your IP address and browser details.

In your browser#

The site remembers two preferences: your theme (light or dark), in your browser's local storage, and your language, in a cookie. Both exist only so the site behaves the way you set it, say nothing about who you are, and are never sent to anyone else.

What is not collected#

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts. The fonts are served by this site. The share buttons on articles are plain links: nothing is sent to a social network unless you click one.

Your rights#

You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you, or object to how it is used, by writing to hello@suwasghale.com. I reply within a month. If you live in the European Union and believe your data has been mishandled, you can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Changes#

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
